Cooperatively-run Program of Nursing between Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ara Institute of Canterbury Ltd., New Zealand
Approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2020 (Approval number: MOE21NZ2A20192023N), the undergraduate education program of nursing is jointly held by Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (LNUTCM) and Ara Institute of Canterbury Ltd. (Ara). Based on discipline advantages of nursing of LNUTCM, the program introduces advanced educational resources from Ara. The two parties cooperate to conduct professional teaching, with some core courses taught by Ara staff in English or bilingual and others taught by appointed Chinese teachers with master’s degrees or above, so as to fully guarantee the teaching quality and lay a solid foundation for students to achieve academic and professional success. The program combines advantages and characteristics of nursing of both parties, aiming to cultivate nursing talents with solid basic medical knowledge, rich humanities knowledge, good nursing skills and broad international vision. Since the approval of the program, Tron.Kiwi Group has set up a professional management team in LNUTCM, responsible for the smooth operation of the program. Services provided are as follows:
Assisting Chinese colleges and universities in enrollment, daily management of students and management of teachers and courses
Providing teaching, educational, administrative and living support for foreign teachers in China.
Sending IELTS and professional course teaching teams to ensure the English level and professional course level of students
Providing entry services and further education services for students choosing to study abroad, etc
Under the operation and management of the team, the program has been operating smoothly for two years with a 95% registration rate of freshmen.
